Pink ball | The New Color of Cricket (D/N Test)

Third Test match between India and England which is being played with Pink Ball but why are these pink balls being used? What is the benefit? After this will the pink ball be used in the entire test match? We tell you the answers to many such questions. First of all, we know that we all know about all the balls played in cricket,

 White/Red ball

The red ball is used in testing and the white color is used in a day. The red ball was accurate for 80 to 90 overs throughout the day, for this the red ball lasted longer and did not cause any problems, staring in match in shine this ball benefit to pacers for in swing and out swing after time shine not available then spinners used it properly to drift ball on wickets.

One day in a cricket ball that is white, you have to know that the white ball can be played for 30 to 40 overs, then ball was taken between 30 and 35 overs and they would also use it at night.

Everything was going well, so what was needed was that we had to use the pink ball, let's see. To increase the popularity of Test matches, this step was taken by the ICC which decided that day and night should be in the Test match.

Starting Pink Ball D/N Test

Support for Pink Ball Day/night test was in 2012  took 3 years to Start from ICC. First day/night Test 27 Nov 2015 Between Australia vs New Zealand at the picturesque Adelaide Australia won by 3 wickets. there in these stadium around massive love from cricket with 123736 fans crowed cheering over day of the test. 1 year later, the 2nd Pink Ball D / No Test between West Indies vs Pakistan took place in Dubai Pakistan won by 56 Runs. on 2nd November 2019 India also starting their pink ball day/night test India vs Bangladesh at a Eden Garden India won by an inns & 46 Runs.

Challanges in D/N test

Day/night matches, you know, is a white ball, but if I tell you that you have to play Test day and night with a red ball, how would you react? I heard exactly why the Test is not played with the white ball. The problem was that the color would be a problem with the jersey being white.

So the biggest problem for this was that if the red ball is used, the reflection of the night light changes from the red ball which is brown when playing and the pitch is brown, so the batsman and Bowler If you had to change the ball, you had to change the ball, if you used a different colored ball, if you saw the ball, you can use the pink ball only at night. It is certain that the pink ball will be used in the Day Night Test match. It is made like a red ball, only pink color code is applied to it, due to this, the color of the pink ball like a red ball lasts longer.

The Making of Pink ball

It uses cark, rubber, leather and silk thread. Red ball is made in 2 days, but it takes more time to make a pink ball. Pink ball takes 8 days to use imported leather. On the inside, a layer is made of cark and rubber and then two parts of pink color leather are attached to the stitch. Stitching the two parts together in three lines, that is 78 stitches are put together on the ball, if the whole ball is ready then it is 22.5 centimetres and weights 156 grams. its helps better grip on ball even there is Dew.
